On competencies, family and friends

Hello! It's been a while since the last time I posted an entry. How's everybody? Enjoying the weekend?  Please excuse me if I don't get to visit your blogs often. My schedule is too hectic. Heck! it's killing me but this is the life that I have chosen for now. I'm okay. Oh my! I hope that these competencies will end up soon.

I have attended and completed the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Program for Health Care Providers in one of the AHA's International Training Center in the region. It was a two-day course coupled with practical and written exams after the video presentations and core case simulations. It was fun though I must admit that it gave me a lot of stress considering that I have had such limited time to study. It was a blissful experience for me especially when I received my certificate and PALS card.

Next is the Neuro Workshop at the end of this month and the Central Venous Access Device competency sometime next month.

Am still alone. My hubby is enjoying his vacation. Joel and JM are enjoying the summer in the Philippines. They are complaining about the scorching heat but at the same time they are enjoying the beaches and the malls.
Today is my day off from my hospital work and I'll be doing 2 nights tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. My sleep pattern is very abnormal because of my night duties. Well, this is not something new with nurses.

I hope that everything is well with Lucy and to all of you, my blogger friends. I may not visit your sites often but you are always in my thoughts.

Have a blessed weekend to all of you. A big hug to all.

I know how busy you are but you are always so upbeat and that makes you a great compassionate nurse. Thank you for thinking of me. My heart went back into a-fib within 2 weeks. I felt the signs Thurs. Had a ekg Fri. and it was for sure out. He as me on 3 tablets of amiodrin 200 Mg. each and still coumadin 5 mg a day and has told me to watch carefully for excessive bleeding anywhere. June 1st if it does not go back on meds, they will shock it again. I am telling you this because I know you don't have time to visit often and you have always been so nice to me with explanations. Mike is doing very well.
