Well...well...well...well...just risen from the graveyard hahahaha....sorry for the lack of post....been busy orientating myself with my new working environment.
After the three-month long studies for the PICU Internship Course, I officially joined the newly opened PICU on March 2009. New environment, with old and new colleagues, new Nurse Manager, and our ever hardworking Clinical Resource Nurse.
My first few weeks at the PICU was'nt that easy. Being out of PICU for almost 3 years and 8 months, it was really difficult to cope up with the intensive care set up. There were times that I really cried, I felt that I am so stressed with tons of workload, seemed like 12-hour shift was not adequate enough to finish all the things that I had to do for my patient for a particular shift.
With the Mandatory Competencies that I have to finish, it made my PICU life even more difficult. Good thing that I have enough time to study during my days off. At last! I am still here...still surviving and coping.
Greatest gift!
