Sorry for the lack of post. Been busy and still busy with the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit(PICU) Nurses Internship Course.
The PICU Intership Course started last month. In this course I need to pass the Precourse exam, weekly module exam, and the final exam.As for the theory part, I have to struggle with the six-week-classroom day for eight hours. My.... I'm telling you...it is really brain-draining but it is really interesting. It keeps me thinking....I really love the pathophysiology part. It keeps my brain cells working.
Looking back at the day that I received the letter from our Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) informing me that I belong to the lucky guys who passed the interview and will be transferred to PICU, I was so ecstatic.....so happy that I even screamed and jumped inside the coffee room of Pediatric Surgery while my co-staff nurses were looking at me. I thought that I just need some refreshers for me to perform well as a PICU nurse......reality striked and made me feel that I really lost my ICU skills after spending my 3 years and 8 months in Pediatric Surgery. I am so thankful that I belong to this class....the first batch of nurses on PICU Intership Course.
After the respiratory module exam, I felt that the intensity of burden increased just by merely looking at the cardiology module. I think the bulk of the course is the cardio module if I am going to compare it to the diseases that we need to study. Oh God...please help me....I don't know if I will pass this stage.
All I can say is.....Thy will be done..... I believe that everything happens and will happen for a reason.
Greatest gift!
