I had a dreadful experience last friday. I felt that as if I was in a hinterland or it was only my imagination that I was too far away from my home. With my blood pressure rising up to 170 systolic and 110 diastolic, I felt that it was my end. Oh dear God! That was exactly the very word that slipped on my mouth. Prayed that everything will be alright.
It was really horrifying, sitting in one of the corner of my room holding my head with my left hand and massaging the ocipital area at the same time with my right hand. Throbbing and pulsating pain running through my nerves.Even a glimpse of the light made me photosensitive. I asked my son to switch off the lights and leave me alone for a while. I just wanted to be alone , I did'nt want my son to see me like a poltroon but in reality I felt that I was a coward that very moment. Coward to face the reality that I really needed to go to the hospital and have myself submitted to treatment.
After few minutes, I heard that my husband was knocking at the door. I opened the door with my right hand while holding my head with my left hand. I asked him to keep quiet and immediately told him to bring me to the hospital.
I stayed for about 4 hours at the E.R. Ouchhhhhhhh ...the injections and IV cannulation really hurts. Pethidine 25mg IV push was given and metoclopramide IV push as well. I slept for 2 hours with the pethidine which made me drowsy and apparently rest for a while.
I woke up at around 09:30 PM ,lightheaded but pain free at all. The nurse checked my blood pressure again. So glad that it dropped down to an acceptable reading. I immediately asked the doctor if I can go home. We left the hospital at 10:00 PM and we safely reached home after few minutes.
Immediately after I sat on my bed, I saw my laptop on with the POEA Forum on the screen. Guess what I did? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha I logged in and started posting as if nothing happened.

Were you nauseous at all? Sounds like a migraine headache.
I had one of those in HS. I was in class and started seeing flashes of light in the periphery of my vision. Before too long I had a serious headache, I asked to be excused from class and went to the dark room w/a bed and laid down. Eventually the day was over and on my way out to get on the bus I vomitted.
No fun at all. I thought I was going to come down withone of th ose the other day.
Yes, it was a migraine headache. My hypertension was aggravated by the headache. I was not even nauseous that time.
Yah. Migraine is no fun at all.
Hi
I am a student in the university in al ain. I will do a presentation about a multicultural UAE. I chose this topic because I want to make people here especially locals aware of the multicultural society they are living in and I want all of us to respect others more so that we can live here, in the UAE happier.
It would be great if you can give me some ideas to do this presentation. I also have some questions for you.
-What do you like about local people?
-What don’t you understand about them?
-Do you have any problems with people from different cultures that arise from language, cultural and religious differences?
-Do you have any funny situations created from the difference in cultures or languages?
Please mail me your answers to reefuns@hotmail.com
Or simply post them on you blog I will come to check.
Thank you in advance
